Personalized novels for adults, written for one person
A personalized novel for adults is a complete book whose plot is written from your description of one person - a romance, a mystery, a drama, whatever they actually read - not a ready-made story with their name and a few details dropped in. Write Book writes it in prose, 100 to 400 printed pages, with a designed cover, and ships a printed copy if you want one, to Israel, the US or Europe. No illustrations, no picture books. And you do not write any of it.
Written for them, not a template with their name in it
A common way to make a personalised book is a fixed story with blanks in it: the name, the hometown, the pet, the color of someone's eyes. It is quick, and every copy shares the same plot. Change the name and it becomes someone else's book.
Here nothing is written in advance. You describe the person and the book - who they are, what they like to read, what should happen - and the system writes plot lines from that description. You can change them from chapter 2 on, and the chapters are written, as one continuous narrative from the first page to the last.
So two people who order a romance get two different books, because two different descriptions went in. The plot is the personalized part, not only the name.
What 'for adults' means here
It means a grown-up book: a novel in chapters, written in prose for an adult reader. You choose the length, from 100 to 400 printed pages in steps of 50, and how many chapters to split it into; the price appears on screen before you pay.
It does not mean explicit. Nothing on this page promises explicit content, so please do not order on the assumption that you will get it.
And it means text. The interior is prose; the cover is the only image. This is a book to be read, not a keepsake to be looked at.
Personalized romance novels
Romance is where the difference between a template and a written book shows most. A template can put two names on a love story. It cannot know how they actually met, the joke only the two of them get, or the evening that nearly went wrong.
There are two ways to do it, and they suit different people:
- Their own story, told as a novel. How you met, the first apartment, the trip that went wrong - the real material, written as a love story rather than as a timeline. The wizard in the book options menu has a template for this called "A gift for your partner", which asks how you met and which shared memories matter.
- A romance built around their taste. A novel in the kind of romance they already read, with a couple at the center who share a few of their habits, your city, a phrase one of you always says. It reads as fiction, and the recognition arrives quietly.
How the story gets its direction
There is no romance switch to turn on. You describe the book in your own words - the genre, the couple, the tone, how it should end - and the plot lines the system proposes are where you check that it understood.
Editing the plot lines, from chapter 2 on, is the real control point. Changing a plot line changes the rest of the book; changing something after the chapters are written is an edit to existing text. It is worth taking your time there.
After the chapters are written, every paragraph is still open to editing, and if the shape came out wrong, the whole book can be written again, paid as a new book.
Personalised books for adults, beyond romance
The same works for any genre an adult reader enjoys. The wizard's "A book to read yourself" template offers drama, novel, suspense or thriller, fantasy, realistic, historical and humor, and the description box takes anything else: a mystery set in their hometown, a historical novel in the period they love, a thriller whose detective has their job.
And the person can be you. If what you are after is a novel written for you to read, in the genre you would pick off a shelf, the process is exactly the same: describe the book you would want to read.
What you give, and what comes back
You are not writing this. You describe it the way you would tell a friend about the person, and it does not need to be organized or well phrased.
The details that make the book recognizably theirs are the ones nobody else could supply:
- The thing they always say, and the story behind it.
- The place they keep going back to.
- What they are quietly afraid of, and what they would never admit to wanting.
- The kind of ending they would throw the book across the room over.
From description to printed copy
The whole process, in order:
- Describe the book in your own words, or answer the wizard's short questions.
- Choose the length, from 100 to 400 printed pages, and the number of chapters. In a shorter book only some of the details you give will make it into the story, so a long list is a reason to choose more pages.
- The plot lines and the first chapter are written; read the chapter, and change the plot lines from chapter 2 on if you want.
- Once you pay for the whole book, the remaining chapters are written in the background, and you get an email when the book is ready.
- Read it, edit any paragraph, or have it written again as a new book.
- Design the cover. The title and the author name on it are fully editable, so their name can go there. Then order a printed copy, or keep the digital edition.
What it costs and how long it takes
On your first book, the first chapter is written free, with no card, so you can see the writing before paying for anything. You read it on the site, and you can still change the planned plot of every chapter from chapter 2 on. After that, the writing is priced by length and paid once, and a printed copy is paid for separately.

Each printed copy is paid for separately, and every copy after the first costs less than the first. That matters when more than one person should have a copy: both halves of a couple, or several family members at an anniversary. The writing is a separate, one-time purchase.
When this is the wrong gift
Some cases are better served by something else, and it is better to say so up front.
- If they do not read. A novel for someone who never opens one is a handsome object on a shelf.
- If you want their photos inside. The interior is text; the cover is the only image.
- If you are looking for explicit content. Nothing here promises it.
- If the date is days away and it has to be printed. The digital edition is ready the same day; the printed copy follows.
- If it needs to be very short. Every book is at least 100 printed pages.
Frequently asked questions
Is the plot really written for them, or is it a template?
Written for them. Nothing is written in advance: the plot lines come from your description, you can change them from chapter 2 on, and the chapters are written from there. Two people who order a romance get two different books.
Are these personalized romance novels for adults explicit?
Nothing here promises that. 'For adults' means a complete novel for a grown-up reader rather than a children's book. Please do not order expecting explicit scenes.
Is it illustrated?
No. The interior is prose, and the cover is the only image.
Can their name go on the cover?
Yes. Both the book title and the author name on the cover are fully editable.
Do I need to be able to write?
No. You describe the person and the book in your own words, unorganized is fine, and the system writes every chapter. If you are unsure where to start, the wizard in the book options menu asks a few short questions.
How long does it take?
Writing: usually about an hour, and up to about two for a long book; the free first chapter is ready in about ten minutes. Printing and delivery within Israel: 14 business days, roughly three calendar weeks. International shipping, only to the US, the EU, the UK, Switzerland and Norway, is priced by destination and shown before payment. The digital edition is ready the same day.
What does a personalised novel cost?
On your first book, the first chapter is written free. After that the writing of the whole book is priced by length and shown before payment - from about $12 for 100 pages up to about $40 for the longest, 400 pages, at 21 October 2026 prices. Each printed copy is priced separately; the price is shown on screen before you pay, and further copies of the same book cost less. Prices are shown in US dollars; your card is charged the equivalent in Israeli shekels on the secure payment page, and your bank converts it.
Can I order one for myself?
Yes. If you want a novel written for you to read, the process is exactly the same: describe the book you would want to read.
What is a custom romance novel?
A romance written for one couple or one reader rather than a template. You describe them - how they met, the joke only they get, the kind of romance they read - and the plot is written from that. It can be their own story told as a novel, or a romance in their favourite style with a couple who share a few of their habits.
Is a personalized book for adults a good birthday gift?
For someone who reads, yes. The writing usually takes about an hour, and printing and delivery take 14 business days, so order about three weeks before the birthday. If the date is closer, give the digital edition on the day and the printed copy when it arrives.
Can their name be in the story itself, not only on the cover?
Yes. You decide who is in the story: give the main character their name, or a different name with their habits, their city and the phrase they always say. Every paragraph stays editable after it is written.
